Costs
Dues
Roosevelt Water Polo is club sport. This means that we are not financially supported by the school district. Therefore our dues cover our costs - primarily pool fees as well as the cost for referees and league membership. Our coaches are volunteers.
Dues for the season are projected to be approximately $150 for players depending on pool availability and costs for the shortened season. Players will also be asked to do some fundraising. USA WAter Polo Membership
Additionally, we require that each player join USA Water Polo. The governing body of water polo provides our insurance coverage and allows us to participate in area water polo tournaments. Bronze membership is good enough for the high school season and it is $35. However, if you are on Varsity then you will probably need Silver membership to participate. Partial scholarships are available for the yearly USA Water Polo membership. Details are on the Registration page.

Other costs
We try as hard as possible to be transparent up front because we all know how things can add up. So when else are you likely to be asked for money?
Each year the team designs a t-shirt or other gear. They will be optional for the JV but some may be required for the Varsity. A team suit is required. The cost is typically in the $75 range. We use the same suit design each year so that suits can be used for more than one season. Small donations will be sought for the end of season gifts for our seniors and for our coaches (volunteer position). |
